On May 26, 2025, the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) hosted a meeting with the delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), marking a significant step toward the successful implementation of the Ghana-Korea Centre of Excellence for ICT-based Startups and Asian Research (GK-IMPACT).

The UGBS Innovation and Incubation Hub (IIH) together with other stakeholders (The Department of Computer Science, Mest and UNICEF will be associated with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) aspect of the building, a move that will significantly bolster entrepreneurship training and innovation. This direct involvement in the technological backbone of the facility will create a seamless environment for learning, collaboration, and the practical application of innovative ideas, ultimately accelerating the journey from concept to market-ready solutions.
This meeting sets the foundation for a transformative initiative that promises to enhance digital innovation, promote regional research collaborations, and bridge cultural exchanges between Africa and Asia. Through strategic planning and joint effort, the GK-IMPACT project is poised to make a lasting impact on Ghana’s technological landscape and research environment.
